From Robert T. Rhode:
I hold the BS magna cum laude, MA, and the PhD in English from Indiana University, and I am a professor at Northern Kentucky University. I was the first director of NKU’s Honors Program and served in that capacity for 11 years. In addition to language use, my specialty is early American literature. I am the co-author of The Big Book of Steam Tractors, soon to be released by Quayside Group of Boston. I am the author of The Harvest Story: Recollections of Old-Time Threshermen and the co-author of Classic American Steamrollers. I have contributed an invited chapter to Black Earth and Ivory Tower, an anthology of essays by America’s foremost authors on the rural experience. I have published over 150 articles. I am also an illustrator with a 30-year portfolio of work that has appeared in a wide range of publications.
My authorship with Eleanor Y. Stewart of Grammar Made Easy is a true collaboration. Whereas various books with multiple authors are pieced together from separately written sections with obviously different voices, we labored over every word together. Happily, our book speaks with one voice. |
